According to Ben Heckner (via Florian Plettenberg), Preston North End are looking to sign Jahn Regenbrug left-back, Bryan Hein.
It is understood that the Championship outfit are looking to strengthen the left-hand side of their backline and view Hein as an ideal candidate.
The 23-year-old is set to see his contract at the Jahnstadion Regensburg expire in the summer, but as to whether Preston would look to strike a deal to bring Hein in this winter is not yet clear.
Regardless, Paul Heckingbottom’s side could secure Hein’s signature on a free transfer and obtain his services ahead of next season, in a similar manner to that of Phil Neumann’s move from Hannover 96 to Birmingham City.
However, Preston will face competition for the German left-back.
As stated within the report, Belgian outfit Sint-Truidense are also monitoring Hein’s situation at Regensburg.
Having registered two assists in 14 league games, it appears Hein’s future will not be with the 2. Bundesliga strugglers.
