Jamie Gittens wants to leave Borussia Dortmund in the summer

Sky Germany reports that Jamie Gittens wants to leave Borussia Dortmund as he is not happy with the current development of the club.

Gittens is looking to take the next step in his career due to Dortmund’s struggles on the pitch and leave in the summer

Several clubs from his native England are interested in the winger, as are Bayern Munich. A move to the Premier League currently appeals to the Englishman.

Dortmund still hope that they can sell Gittens for €100m, but the price is likely to be a lot cheaper at around €70-80m, but it will depend on which European competition Dortmund are in next season.

After a strong first half to the season, Gittens’ form fell off a cliff, and over the weekend, he ended an 11-game goalless run in the Bundesliga. His current tally is 12 goals and three assists in 42 games in all competitions this season.

Gittens has not reached close to his potential at Dortmund during his time at the club, especially compared to the likes of Jadon Sancho and Jude Bellingham. A move away from Dortmund in the summer will likely be too early for him, but the money Dortmund gain from the sale can help fund a refresh of the squad.
