Already linked with a move to Liverpool this past autumn, Freiburg talent Merlin Röhl may be on the move to the other Merseyside club in the summer. Kicker reports that Everton are interested in the 22-year-old. Despite injury issues this season, Röhl maintains an estimated €12m market value.
Kicker reports that the Toffees might consider the Germany U21 international worth much more than that. Two of the magazines most reliable reporters go so far as to suggest that Freiburg might receive close to what they did in the record €25m sale of striker Kevin Schade to Brentford in 2023.
Freiburg themselves are thought to be close to finalising a record purchase of their own. A blockbuster transfer summer for the Breisgauer is not out of the question. Freiburg should also net some significant cash for Japanese attacker Ritsu Doan, meaning there will be lots of inlays and plenty of new arrivals.
