Bild reports that the current tendency is that Thomas Müller will leave the club at the end of the season when his contract expires.
Over the international break, there were two rounds of talks between Müller and Bayern over a contract extension. However, no decision has yet been made.
The current tendency is that this will be Müller’s last season at Bayern, but the 35-year-old does not want to retire just yet. Müller wants to continue to play football for at least another season at Bayern. Teams from the MLS are also said to be interested in him. Bayern want to give Müller a role at the club after his retirement.
Müller is not the only player that Bayern are in negotiations with over extending their contract. Leroy Sané is one of the players, but as of right now, an extension is unlikely. While Bayern are also interested and working on extending the contract of Eric Dier, especially following the recent injury to Dayot Upamecano.
